Affordability

**STOP PRESS** - in October 2009 the Killara Apartments at Westwood received the State Award for Excellence in the Affordable Development category from the Urban Development Institute of Australia

One of the key objectives of the Westwood project is to provide opportunities for a range of affordable housing initiatives.  As a result, Westwood offers a choice of value for money housing options that are proving particularly attractive for first home buyers, single people and for Housing SA tenants looking to move out of the public housing system and buy their own home. 

Westwood offers a wide choice of value for money and quality housing on larger block sizes, not usually found in developments this close to the city. Significant incentives are also given to home buyers - including "The Westwood Advantage" - a package of up to $20,000 of additional extras including paving, landscaping, fencing, stormwater drainage and a security system.

In recognition of Westwood's achievements in delivering affordable housing, the Urban Development Institute of Australia have awarded us the State Award for Excellence in the Affordable Development category twice - in 2006 for Westwood itself and in 2009 for the Killara Apartments at Westwood.
